Founded in 1970 ecsn is a successful member managed, not-for-profit, business association for the electronics industry, joining together members involved in: Research, Component Manufacturers, Channel Partners, Electronic Equipment Design Manufacturers and End-of Life/Re-Use.
ecsn Leadership Group and Management Team
The Electronic Components Supply Network is a member managed organisation, we only do what our members need and want.
Taking direction from over 40 recognised industry leaders (click for more information) within our Leadership Group the management team implement what our members define.
As an ecsn Member you can directly influence what we do.
Events
ecsn members encourage collaboration across the entire supply network and organise business networking events, seminars and training for our members and the wider industry. Our members regularly contribute to conferences held by government, academia, domestic and international organisations.

Since 1986 ecsn have produced the most advanced electronic components market industry statistics that have set the standard enabling international comparison by country and region.
Research
Access to and participation in near market research into new materials, technologies and production processes enables ecsn members to collaborate between academia, industry and their peers to develop long-term business relationships releasing value and revenue.
Component Electronic Manufacturers
Our members represent a broad range of electronic components manufacturers based in the UK, and internationally, who are customer Electronic Equipment Design and Manufacturers supported directly or increasingly by their Channel Partners.
Channel Partners
Our members support the needs of both Components Manufacturers and Electronic Design and Manufacturers as well as Research and End-of-Life and Re-Use. afdec represents Manufacturer Authorised Distributors from where ecsn was originally founded in 1970 but also includes Distributors, Resellers and Independent Sales and Marketing Organisations.
Electronic Equipment Design and Manufacturers
ecsn electronic equipment design and manufacture members design, manufacture, assemble, provide software and test a wide range of products primarily for the industrial, automotive, aerospace, medical and data-communications markets. We are seeking more members in the ODM, CEM and OEM area with special introductory offers for members who will help us develop new industry reporting metrics, please see the Join ecsn slider.
End-of- Life/Re-Use
Right across the electronic components supply network the need to improve efficiency, conserve resources whilst remaining compliant with environmental legislation is driving a cradle to re-birth strategy. Increased collaboration with ecsn Research Group ensures this design goal can be achieved.
